Including yesterday's race we now have 41 drivers in our list with 7 identified so far.

In case anyone's wondering, my original count should have been 40 rather than 39 and one new name made it to the list yesterday!

No, his great years with F1 were in the 1970s before the Portugal GP returned to F1.

After that he raced for many years in the US in CART and Indy cars.

I don't think he ever raced in Portugal. Like Fittipaldi he was too early for the return of the Portuguese GP in 1984.

Niki Lauda had a long F1 career, long enough to race twice in the Portuguese GP in 1984 (when he came 2nd) & 1985.

The races and drivers we're looking at here fall into three distinct periods:

. 1958-1960

. 1984-1996

. 2020-2021

with two long gaps each of 24 years so lots of great drivers didn't make the list.

For example, Graham Hill raced in the first period of Portuguese F1 races but never finished and then never had another opportunity despite racing for another 15 years or so

So far we've found 26 out of the 41 drivers.

I believe the remaining 15 were/are from the following countries:

5 from Italy
3 from France
1 from each of Finland, Germany, Great Britain, Mexico, the Netherlands, Sweden, & the USA

The pictures of these 15 are: 17-30 & 32.
