Problems with the board email?

I noticed the Profile and Email icons are no longer there even I am in login mode.

I checked the user control panel and all settings are correct.

I sent an email to Global Administrator via the "Contacts" and reported the issue to BigSaint (moderator) via email last Saturday but I didn't receive a copy myself so I doubt these emails went through successfully.

I did a php upgrade from 7.2 to 7.3.

Now to wait and see if that released the emails

Not too sure how to go about this but it seems there may be a problem with the Stampboards E-mail function.

I recently indicated that I would like to purchase a lot put forward by "Darkice" and Mal responded stating that an E-mail had been sent.

Two days on and three E-mails from me and there is still no E-mail from Mal in my inbox and no indication that he has received mine. To add to this no copy of my E-mails have been sent to my inbox either although that option was selected.

I have and still am receiving other E-mails so am lead to believe that the fault may be within the Stampboards function.

im online now and got the notification when i logged in, but no email from stampboards. i have gotten some from others so i know my isp is working

When I want to send an email to another member, I click on their name under their avatar and when their viewing profile comes up I click on Send email to.....

This method works better than clicking on that bubble. But when the email system is not working at all I put up my own email address in a disguised fashion like this.

For the past 2-3 weeks I have not been receiving "real time" email notifications for forums/threads that I have nominated to receive the notifications for.

Then every 4 or 5 days I receive a mass of them all at once from the previous few days.

This happened again just a few minutes ago when approximately 80 emails came in at once, which were for the past 4 days.

I have checked my User settings and they are all as they should be.

At least for me the notifications appear to come real time. Not in big lumps. However, that is not to say that what you experience is due to something you have/haven't done.

just out of curiosity,

I can't find anything that I can send or receive personal messages, maybe I am bland as a bat?

in the FAQ section I find this:

Private Messaging
I cannot send private messages!
There are three reasons for this; you are not registered and/or not logged on, the board administrator has disabled private messaging for the entire board, or the board administrator has prevented you from sending messages. Contact a board administrator for more information.

No member to member board email issues for me.

'PMs' or Private Messaging are NOT member to member emails of course, and have NEVER been activated here, which is precisely why they do not 'work' for you, but keep living in dreamworld.

Many cheerfully complain about such tiny and totally meaningless issues, but VERY few of them show any thanks or appreciation for how smoothly Yuriy in New York keeps this massive totally FREE board ticking away in the background, with no outages or crashes. A huge job.

Have you sent Yuriy a Pizza - of course not - but reading his updates this week might assist you? -
