And some European items.
AMMRE Germany pre-1910 (two perfinned "DGA" for Deutsche Grammophon Aktiengesellschaft who pressed Zonophone and handstamped with publishing firms' names), and Columbia Spanish 1930s.

I should note that the dates above for the AMMRE stamps are for the original issue of the records. As AMMRE wasn't formed until 1909 they are obviously on slightly later re-pressings, which was not uncommon. Some records remained in the catalogue for many years.

Ernest Worton David (1872-1940) started his own music publishing firm in 1924, after breaking from Lawrence Wright (Horatio Nicholls).
The ¾d is quite rare, especially with the red font variation. The one on the Scala Ideal label isn't in the best condition but creates an attractive colour combination.

Re: Copyright royalty tax stamps on Records/Pianola Rolls Discussion
Copyright royalty stamps can also be found on the boxes for cylinder records, but are not common. Obviously they could not be affixed to the cylinders themselves. All my copies shown here are on the base of the box but I have seen in the past an image of one affixed to the side of the box - can anyone supply an image?
Edison was the first to issue these commercially from 1889,and kept with them for owners of the players into the 1920s. Pre-1910 French Pathe cylinders with Agence Generale stamps. Post-1912 UK issues, all from The Copyright Protection Society. c.1923-4 for sale in Australia

This is atypical for a private sticker, so I was wondering if it could be copyright related?
Verdi was published by Ricordi which fits with the first part of the hand writing

The Verdi H/S from the previous post is also seen on other stamps, in this case Ricordi. These "blue frame" copyright stamps are not uncommon, especially on some South American records, or European records exported there. There's a wide variety of frame designs and overprints/manuscripts. And very rarely on sheet music, in this case from Chile.

That seems settled then. Perhaps the corrected 2 (to 1) is due to the record being one-sided?
I've now compiled all the stamps I've found so far having overprints/stamps/writing relating to Denmark. The values 6,25 and 12,50 øre are the most common but 7,50 and 10 øre also appears. Others are just stamped Sk (Skandinavia, which is most likely referring to the forerunner of NCB) or with W.H. or Wilhelm Hansen, who were the main publisher in Denmark.

Thanks seuk, it's great to see such a range from one country. New items noted for the 3rd Edition.Seuk wrote: ↑25 May 2023 04:54 That seems settled then. Perhaps the corrected 2 (to 1) is due to the record being one-sided?

Hopefully other collectors in Sweden and Finland can find similar ranges.
Meantime here's a nice duo of Pathé stamps recently acquired, on a record destined for Spain.
Also a great item for a Bird thematic collector!

The similar 12" UK Columbia 78s, all with Mecolico ⅞d provisional values.
All are in the 300 serial number series and of Gilbert & Sullivan operetta material, but the third is a later re-press under a later label style. The matrix numbers (62xx, 63xx) were originally recorded 1912-13.
The first two are pre-WW1 issues. While this one is probably mid-1920s.
