Phoenix Auctions - On-Line Auction #2174
Welcome to the Phoenix Auctions #2174, to be held on Monday 11th December starting at 10am. This will be our last auction for 2023, so you have a wonderful chance to pick up a few lots to enjoy over the holidays. We would like to wish everyone a safe and healthy festive season and New Year.

We will be closed from noon on 21st December until Thursday 4th of January.

Just a reminder that the buyer’s commission for our On-line Auctions is still only 16.5%!

New bidders need to be aware that, while there is no room bidding for these auctions, viewing, phone bidding and live internet bidding are still available. Lastly live bidding will skip over lots without any form of bid, so please enter some sort of bid, even if it is just $1, to ensure that these lots appear during live bidding. We hope you find its wide range of lots useful and interesting.

While mail services have improved, they can still be slow and some mail continues to arrive well after the auction. We strongly encourage you to use our website to enter your bids, as that provides the best service for you and it gives instant feedback on the status of your bids.

If you are uncomfortable or unable to bid on the website, we encourage you to phone or email your bids in.
If you mail your bids please ring to confirm they have arrived. Auction day before 10am is a good time to call.
Viewing is available 10am-4pm from Sunday 3rd December to Sunday 10th December (There is no Saturday viewing).

Our address is Suite 2, Level 1, 441 Canterbury Rd, Surrey Hills, 3127. Call ahead if earlier viewing is required and call or email us if you need more information about a lot. We welcome clients picking up their lots from our office, however this can only be from 12pm onwards on Tuesday 12th December, other days from 10am-4pm. Please call ahead so we have time to get your purchases ready for you.

As usual there are many variety lots, particularly in the Roos and KGV Sideface issues, and also in early decimal period. There is a significant selection of mint Australian decimals in our Australian Postage section, general and single country collection lots. We have our usual range of Postal History, FDCs, Coins etc, and, of course, many, many postmarks.

Rest of World collectors are always well catered for. There are over 300 lots in this section and more than 100 lots at the beginning if the auction in the General & Single Country sections. There is a good selection of Foreign & British Commonwealth, with many pre-1970 mint and used sets. There are quite a few German TPO lots with modest estimates. With a wide variety of countries and many lots of Postal History, Stationery, etc, there is plenty to choose from.
