South Africa 1960s era, 5c revenue stamp apparently postally used?

We all have and handle these from time to time. "Back of book", Revenues, "Cinderellas", duty stamps and all kinds of other stamp like labels. Discuss them all HERE!

South Africa 1960s era, 5c revenue stamp apparently postally used?

Post by bsward »

Hi,

I came across the below. I think it's a South Africa revenue (c1961), but seems to be postally used. I cannot seem to find it in my SG catalogue. Does anyone know anything more?

Thanks,

Clearly says REVENUE on them, so MAY not have been detected - it left on full cover we'd have seen whether postage due was levied.

Barefoot lists the stamp as #111 (1961/68).
