Explaining the ranking and Colour *STARS* used on this board.

We have a progressive "reward" system here, where as you make more posts, you gain a new star level along that path.

Over the few short months of this board's existence, that system has evolved and changed. Many members wonder what the different levels are, and when you get them.

The software changes them automatically as you reach each new tier.

I have made about 50,000 posts on other (travel related)Bulletin Boards, and no-one has a similar system - or anything like it.

But it does seem to work here, and members do really seem to like it, so we are pleased to offer and expand these incremental levels as outlined below.

So here we go, as of July 1 - only 3 short months since this board went "live" with zero posts .... this what we have right now.

As it always has, this system will evolve and change as the board grows bigger and busier, but this is what we have now.

It was not too long ago that you got a Gold Star at just 10 posts.

I had my hard working webmaster come up with some new icons this week.

Including a DIAMOND star level .. and Emerald and Ruby:

I am starting to form a theory.
There is an ISP or server somwhere that is not playing nice with the one stampboards and Glen are hosted on. Hence anyone who goes through that 'trunk' of the internet is getting funny errors. Others, from a different area, see the servers properly.

At first, the error was only reported by one or two people, but now there seems to be more errors and more people.....
Perhaps it is time to log a ticket with the stampboards Hosting ISP` as well as Glens. (assume they are the same). Just a thought anyway.

I've done many refreshes and even restarted the computer,
to no avail.

All other posts have been achieved - I'm using gmail.

OK Andrew,

I have Internet Explorer 7, so if you do as well here is the drill:

Go to "Tools" then "Delete Browsing History" then click all the buttons (such as "Temporary Internet Files", "cookies", etc.). This will delete all the accumulated stuff you have collected during browsing sessions.

In older versions of IE you may need to go to "Tools" then "Internet Options". Then in the "Browsing History" section just click on all the sections and delete.

Mozilla Firefox should have a similar system.
