and a register is being maintained where you have to sign and stuff.

Yup. The postmark was given only for five days at Panjim G.P.O till 24th May. Panjim is Goa's only Philatelic bureau.

All the special covers released yesterday with the golden cancellation on plasma are now sold out from the Phila Bureau. I was going to go out today to get few more when the news came.

I have heard similar rumors but nothing is confirmed. Rumor I have heard is 4 stamps of Rs 5 and 2 stamps of Rs 15, totalling to Rs 50. Surprisingly cheap considering the earlier Gandhi issues, but I would wait till I see it with my eyes!!

India Post released a 4v MS on 150th birth anniversary of Mahatma Gandhi. The MS and stamp are as below

Today being a holiday, most philatelic bureaus are closed, so this was released only across limited bureaus(Delhi and Hyderabad to my knowledge till now)

However, it is available for ordering on e-post.

A Permanent Pictorial Cancellation was released today at Panaji G.P.O. It is the third PPC in Goa. It depicts the Indian Bison (state animal), Cashew, Coconut tree and fish.

after a long break I had been to the GPO here in Bengaluru and picked up some recent commemoratives for using on mail. I have stopped my Philatelic account as I have decided to stop collecting India MNH now. Too many issues and too costly to buy, and really no collector value as all the stamps are bought by dealers and I wonder who will buy them eventually?

I also picked up the Mahatma Gandiji 150 years MS shown on this thread on another page, and a few singles of UN stamps. The Covid 19 stamps yet to come in here. There were a few philatelic staff personel and the GPO was bustling with activity and there were a lot of people, all were wearing masks. I have posted a few covers and let us hope they reach the destination. I was told the mail is being bagged but dispatch depends on available flights to the destination countries.

Just dropped in for a quick visit to the GPO today to pick up Gandhi ji and UN stamps. The lady in the bureau said no new stamps in pipeline that she is aware of currently.

Also got to understand the Covid issue related stamps/MS are in safety storage currently since their issue is put on hold due to the information leak earlier. Hoping it does not convert into another Guru Granth Sahib MS which I have been putting off from acquiring due to the price.

That’s new - children’s day stamps are just like Gandhi stamps, they are issued regularly. I don’t track these but I guess would be a while since they skipped a children’s day issue.

Looking at the comments here it would be few in number.
I do - though I don’t really like them. May be that’s why the postal department has issued so many lately vs regular commemoratives - to make them more common & popular?

There was one more issued recently- am waiting for the image to be updated on the India post portal.
