Another question. What could be the significance of this USA $2.00 bill
and the April 13, 1976 postmark on a 13 cent stamp. The issue date of
the postage stamp is December 1, 1976. The only connection I can see
is that the banknote is Series 1976 which is also the bicentennial year of
the signing of the Declaration of Independence which is depicted on the
reverse of the note. (Which, by the way, depicts all 48 signers of the
Declaration) Maybe I answered my own question. A bicentennial stamp
would have been more appropriate.
