New Zealand 1967 Centenary of the Post Office Savings Bank.
I once had an account at that bank, but it (the bank) is sadly no longer extant.
I still recall (as a teenage philatelist), how impressed I was when these beautiful stamps were issued, back in '67. The metallic colours and the realistic coins are most impressive!

Rather nice Isle of Man cover received today!
"Stamps marked with the name of the Isle of Man were first issued in 1971; the first issue was a variant of the 'Machin' design. Since 1973 only Manx stamps have been valid on the island, and Manx stamps are not valid for postage in the UK or elsewhere. Isle of Man stamps have since become popular with philatelists.
When sending mail to the Island from elsewhere, the Isle of Man is treated as though it were part of the United Kingdom, and mail from the UK continues to be charged at Royal Mail's UK inland rates. However, postcodes were not introduced in the Isle of Man until 1993, when the Island was postcoded as the IM postcode area as an extension of the United Kingdom postcode system.
Mail sent from the Island to the UK is flown across the Irish Sea, and enters the first-class stream of the Royal Mail for next-day delivery."

Not sure about international destinations- presumably the above also applies?

As a good Moslem country, the Upper Yafa Post Office carefully left out the writer's middle name, so as not to offend good Moslem patrons buying and licking the stamps.
One Danish colleague vigorously argued against this, citing "accuracy". But the Post Office considered that an oasis filled with peaceful people was far preferable to riots among the clients!

A huge thank you to all on Stampboards who offered their congratulations on our 50th wedding anniversary 2 days ago. How we managed it I do not know. I suspected that I might be smothered in my sleep as it is alleged that I occasionally snore.
I prefer to collect UK, British Commonwealth esp Pacific area ( not excluding West Indies/Canada ) and Western Europe. At the bottom of my zone of interest is Eastern Europe and communist countries.

Such a nice morning lighthouse you have shown, Puffin! One wonders where it is?
The city of Christchurch was for many years considered the "philatelic capital" of New Zealand, due to the large number of stamp dealers and collectors located there.
But the biggest firms were sold to Mowbrays near Wellington, so it has declined a bit. Though still has several clubs and a dedicated building for meetings, which few other NZ cities can rival!

New Zealand 2020 Life Insurance envelope with several Lighthouse stamps, sent from Palmerston North, 25th August 2020.
This cover includes two of the demonetised 1947 issue (just to pretty-up the cover!) and other Lighthouse stamps, to make up the $1.40 postage rate.
I love the green printed texton the envelope! The Life Insurance Department had a big range of varyingcolouredenvelopes, which brighten up our collections.
