If you have a Logitech max key keyboard there is no windows key, but:
you can use the start plus the . keys together.
Note you cannot use the . key on the numeric section, only the alphabet section
It then brings up the screen Allanswood has uploaded, but:
after you click on the omega button you will need to click on the infinity icon, third from the right on the bottom row to see the fractions.

On my system that selection is stored so next time you want to use a fraction it comes up automatically.

However
Assuming you're posting to Stampboards from a keyboard with a numeric tablet, it's much simpler to remember the commonly used shortcuts:
Alt with 0189 inputs a ½
Alt with 0163 inputs a £

Otherwise
Use your mouse to click on the start key, select windows accessories, and then select the character map. The £ symbol is to the right of the 5th row and the common fractions to the left of the 7th row

Ah, no -I see.
bring up the map
select, copy, paste.
What a load of faff - is that really the best way?
It might work if you double click the symbol. That’s how I do it on the Mac

Having just treated an epidemic of "1/2"s in this thread:

https://www.stampboards.com/viewtopic.php?p=11052280

it seems like a timely opportunity for a bump.

Just an idea for the admins to possibly reduce the number of incorrectly formed symbols - would it be possible to do a post containing all these commonly misused symbols and then ‘pin’ it to the top of the different thread boxes so that people could just go in to the thread and directly copy the correct symbol onto their post.

May save admins time having to correct errors.

It doesn't look as if this has happened; I think it would be useful, but meantime here is another bump following a spate of New Year non-fraction quarters (1 / 4) and halfs (1/2)

Seeing this thread again, I am reminded that I recently ran across a website that will make any fraction you want.

https://lights0123.com/fractions/

Unicode Fraction Creator.

You type in the Numerator and the Denominator, and then click on Copy.
Next you go to where you want your fraction, and Paste.
Once the fraction is Pasted where you want it, you can change the font type and size.

For a picture to go with this posting that uses fractions generated on this website, I've posted a Canadian revenue stamp with the denomination of ⁹⁄₄₀ ¢ that has been overprinted ³⁄₁₀ ¢. However there is a constant overprint variety on position 7 that is listed in Van Dam's Canadian Revenue Catalogue as the ³¹⁄₁₀ ¢ variety (#FX105a).
³¹⁄₁₀ ¢ variety on ³⁄₁₀ ¢ overprint on ⁹⁄₄₀ ¢ revenue stamp.
³¹⁄₁₀ ¢ variety on ³⁄₁₀ ¢ overprint on ⁹⁄₄₀ ¢ revenue stamp.

It's worth loading this up again having just seen a thread showing the 1/2d orange kangaroo.
