Good morning members.

I was wondering whether anyone might be interested in offering the coin for sale.

It has shot up to very many $100 already from its lowly issue price of $10 or $20 earlier this month. You'll need to pay about $300 right now for one I'd suggest in the REAL World. I have none sadly.

The Bunny Bait spivs are already asking $2000 a coin of course -

Buy ONLY from a reputable dealer in the special RAM folder, as the Chinese will be forging them as I type to offer on FakeBay.

MOST buying this stuff on the secondary market are pretty clueless, so the fakers make a killing.

As I recall it was the last $2 to depict QE2? If so, added demand for sure.

The issue of these coins was a totally Balls Up -

RAM mimicked the 2011 version in design, and tiny numbers printed as can be seen - I sold one of those 2011 a week back to a member here for $600, which was dirt cheap really, versus the 4 figure prices I see asked elsewhere. 5 years back I might have asked $50.

These $2 special coins have gone insane this year – the owner of Renniks Lighthouse makes special albums for them and they sell out in days he tells me – as you can see there are a ton of albums out there, and ALL have spaces for that early Classic that goes up 20% a year in retail as a result -

Hi BigSaint.

Thank you for your message.

I checked and the dealer has none.

He tells me that coin dealers and the public are extremely angry with the manner in which this item was managed by the Mint!

In response, I said that anger will not solve the problem, but action will!

I feel terrible for the many loyal customers that missed out - purely due to the incompetence of the supplier!

In particular, I feel for the many retired servicemen and servicewomen who collect Remembrance Day numismatic collectibles. They should have been given "first bite of the cherry".

As it all stands now, everyone can acquire one - but just from the secondary market ( if they have deep pockets!).

Totally shameful and disgraceful!!!!!
