Leading global magazine "Stamp News" very kindly ran this promo on their next front cover this month in the magazine they mailed to subscribers late March.
Stampboards celebrates Birthday 12 in April, and it will reach member number 20,000, and passed message number 6 MILLION, and also passed the 80,000 different topics milepost. All in that same month, and all huge achievements that no-one ever dreamed of, at its inception in 2007. 8)
When I started this Board up, I got really excited when we got to member 100, and dreamed ONE day it might even reach 1000! And when we got to post number 10,000 we gave a big prize. (We now have well over 6 MILLION posts, and near a MILLION images.) Many other similar Boards have been launched and failed dismally, all around the globe, for many reasons. Many were started by prickly members here who did not like our simple and common sense rules. Those have ALL foundered miserably! Communities with no Rules, anywhere on the planet, never work. You need GOOD rules, a vast amount of input from GOOD moderators, GREAT members, and a good deal of money. They had none of the above.
A hard working team of volunteers has worked here for a year, and managed to convert the near one MILLION stamp images there, to be hosted onto the large stampboards servers in the USA. Led by the fine back-room efforts of CMJ in the UK, it is all done now. In the past, stamp images were added that were hosted and left on a bunch of free image hosting sites, personal sites, work sites etc, which often vanished overnight - and so sadly, did the pix. All saved forever now.
SO, I have decided right during the month of April, seeing we reach so many milestones, and successes to celebrate, to have a MEGA giveaway running all month.

That member purchased this fresh 4 margin pair from the leading UK dealer in 1d Blacks, and it is on his dealer card, typed with full details: “SG Spec, AS41a” etc. He sought one with the corner letters of “S.B.” for StampBoards of course. The unit on left has strong re-entries in both top corner stars, as can be seen in detail in photo above.
Used PAIRS of any 1d Black are very scarce, as of course all POs had the 2d Blue issued same date, on hand, for that rate. The SG Specialised cat values a used pair from Plate 6 at £1,250 (and a used block 4 at £25,000!) A pair lettered SA/SB, with the Re-Entry is probably unique, and of course SG do not list that, but they rate the re-entry at 20% more than a normal, so clearly a £1,500+ type multiple.

How is the winner determined? Quite simply - Wall Street will tell us! 8)
We simply will look at where the Wall Street Dow Jones Index finishes at end of trading in New York at the end of NY trading on Tuesday April 30th, 2019. When the Trading Closing Bell ring at 4pm we will have our winner. Therefore we can't be accused of rigging things!
The last five (5) digits is what we look at.
The very last posting can be made an hour before Wall Street closes on that day April 30. Anything guessed after that is deemed invalid. Anyway, it is clearly impossible to cheat - even 5 seconds from final bell, the last 4 numbers will vary wildly to the final figure, due to the usual 10,000s of automated computer trades.
i.e., if Wall Street closes at 25,216.54 - the last 5 digits or 21654 makes the stampboards member who first posted 21654 on this thread the WINNER!
The site we will use to verify the Wall Street final 5 digits, as regards to accuracy (some newspapers or servers round number up or down to nearest whole number) is as it will be shown daily on CNN Finance - https://money.cnn.com/data/markets - who always show the close to 2 decimal points. i.e. on March 29 it officially closed at 25,928.68
So if Wall Street on April 30 officially ends at 25,216.54 - whomever first posts number 21654, or the nearest guess above or below that number, is the WINNER.
ANYONE can win ..... all Moderators included - except myself. It is a totally random 5 digit number to 2 decimal points that Wall Street will reveal to us that day, at close of trading April 30 in New York.
The FIRST member to post the correct number will be our winner. If 2 members type the correct number, the FIRST one to do so, shall be the winner. The second one will win donated Prize 2 etc.

So if 2 people guess the exact Wall Street number, the first one to do so wins the 1d Blacks pair, and the other persons wins prize 2. Then if 3 members guess either one number higher and/or lower than Wall Street close, they get prizes 3, 4 and 5, based on WHEN they tipped, and so on. So any given member here might conceivably win more than 1 prize. Possibly several prizes. Clearly, the more entries you make, the better your chances!
Type ONLY 5 numerals - no spaces or periods or commas - simply 21654 etc - as otherwise the final audit of winner will be impossible. All other entries are deemed invalid. Add commas etc, and you are DISQUALIFIED, so fair warning. We can't search for 21,654 or 21'654 or 21°654 etc as some European and Latin members type, for 5 digit numbers. NO PUNCTUATIONS.

In the very remote case the Wall Street number is NOT selected by anyone - the NEXT closest number above it posted here shall be deemed the winner.
i.e. if 21654 is the last 5 digit Wall Street finish, and is not found posted, then 21655 is the winner ... or the next number above that which IS posted here - it might be 21667 or 21669 for instance.
All very simple to isolate for scrutineering, using the forum specific search function here. And MANY members here always double check things, to make sure there are no mistakes.
